No Gi Jiu-Jitsu
No Gi Jiu Jitsu is the ground-fighting martial art practiced in shorts and a top without the gi. It is focused on chokes, joint locks and control positions. It is the science of using human body mechanics, creating leverage and balance to control and submit the opponent. It is also the practical approach to the MMA ground game.
Beginners Programme
Our Beginners program is designed to help introduce new students to the fundamental No Gi Jiu-Jitsu positions, techniques and concepts.
No Gi Jiu-Jitsu is a variation of traditional Jiu-Jitsu that is practiced without the uniform "gi". In No Gi Jiu-Jitsu, practitioners wear shorts and a rash guard. This style emphasizes a different set of techniques and strategies due to the lack of sleeve or collar grips and handles. Without the gi, the game is generally faster and relies more on body grips. Techniques such as clinches, leg locks, and various chokes still play a significant role, but they are adapted to the absence of the gi.
The class setting is organised to be welcoming and inviting, creating a positive learning environment for all new students.
Intermediate Programme
All students that has achieved a minimum of 3 stripes on their white belt are welcome to attend our Intermediate No Gi classes. Similar to our gi Intermediate programme, our No Gi Intermediate program expands on the curriculum of the Beginners program. It challenges students to further explore the core positions, techniques and concepts to create chains of transitions and attacks. The Intermediate classes also introduces specific positional training, allowing students to develop critical thinking and problem solving in live sparring situations.
Advanced Programme
